Soooo many cake smash sessions in the studio lately and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it! My favorite part about this session was collaborating with the mama on creating this beautiful soft timeless floral theme. I spend the evening creating the floral wreaths and already can’t wait to make more for the next cake smash shoot!
My absolute favorite milestone session, if I had to choose, would be a cake smash session! Being a highly detail oriented person, I LOVE perfecting all the details to make it perfect for each and every family! Each one is unique to each family and all the props are handcrafted and/or sourced from incredible local vendors or made by other hard working mamas.
I loved this playful session with this incredible mother and her son. Milestone sessions can be a time to make your journey as a parent at any significant time in your lives. And that marker can come at any meaningful moment. Lots of times it comes as a mama is transitioning her breastfeeding journey or maybe before your sweet little love is getting his or her first haircut… whatever it is and wherever you are, it’s significant. And its worth taking the time and capturing those beautiful fleeting moments.
A maternity session at the Crystal Spring Rhododendron garden here in Portland is always going to be a good day! This was the first session to kick off autumn and I couldn’t have been more thrilled! Not only was this family the sweetest family, but the weather fared in our favor after having been rainy all week.
August is turning one! I was so excited to finally get the chance to do, not only a cake smash, but also a BOY milk bath! I kept it clean, simple a sweet with just a few natural baby fern sprigs.
What makes doing milk bath sessions so fun is that the babies absolutely LOVE the milk bath portion of the shoot. They love splashing and playing and you always get such natural beautiful expressions from their reaction to the fun playtime.
I really hope to do MANY MANY more milk bath sessions for the little ones. And whats so much fun is, they don’t have to necessarily be exclusively for one years old. Its so versatile and fun!
This session was beyond fun to put together! I absolutely love collaborating with clients on the vision they have for their session. It’s been so much fun as my toddler wardrobe grows for my clients to choose the perfect outfit for their session. It just makes it that much easier and one less thing the parents need to think about.
We had so much fun together that it was hard to stop snapping pictures for this session! OMG! Best day ever!
Wow! It’s a lot of work being ONE! Sometimes you just need a little snooze between takes.
I’m excited to announce that holiday mini sessions are now being booked beginning November 1st-December 8th! Booking is first come, first served. I have openings in the mornings or early evenings, weekdays & weekends.
The turnaround time for photos will be 4-6 days after your shoot. Sessions are 30 minutes~15 retouched digital images for $100. In-studio mini sessions are available for an additional $50.

It was pouring down raining on my way driving to this shoot! The clouds were still deciding if they wanted to stay gray and gloomy, or let the sunshine break through. It created a beautiful mood throughout the shoot.
I love how every shoot is so unique and I love capturing authentic moods that each individual, location and day brings. It keeps things fresh and exciting.
Pregnancy is a time in a women's life where, at times, you just aren't feeling your best. I know and have totally been there too! So much is going on and so much is changing. However, this shouldn't stop you from documenting the most kick-ass thing your body will ever do and the amount of strength you will soon discover that you have. You are a wonder and creating a little life that is beautiful and amazing. Maternity shoots should celebrate the warrior that you are!
Every maternity session has a uniqueness and power. Mama to be, you are so beautiful and strong and I hope you see that every time you see your photos for years to come.
Timing- Capturing that sweet bump without feeling totally huge or exhausted? Aim to shoot towards the end of your second trimester OR the beginning of the second when your bump is super adorable and you still feel comfortable.
Style- Coordinate with your photographer on what outfits to wear and color choices. Try on your outfit(s) in advance so you know you'll feel comfortable.
Pampering- This shoot is a treat to yourself! Pamper yourself with a facial, hairstyle or whatever makes you shine. There is no doubt that you deserve it.
Props- Include things that are special to you. Whether it's a tiny pair of booties you bought for baby or your furry family members. These special treasures are things that bring meaning and you'll love looking back on these sentiments after baby arrives and for years to come.
Fall marks the time for crisp weather, sweaters, hot coco & cider. It's the time for playing in crunchy leaf piles and going apple picking on Sauvie Island or Mt. Hood for fresh apple pies.
This also happens to be the most photogenic time of year as well as the best time for family photos. Or ANY photos really! Book your fall sessions now! I can't wait to see you!
